PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS CLASSES . . .  A HUGE SUCCESS!!

SESSION #3  . . . JUNE 2 @ 10AM. . .$30

Students are to bring their own laptop with Elements already installed so they can work along with the teacher.  Some students will come to the first class to see the program before buying and that is okay. The instructor's screen will be projected. Be sure that if you are buying, buy Photoshop Elements which should be in the $70 range.  Photoshop itself cost about $700. Elements takes all the basic uses of Photoshop and pulls it out for the average user such as digital scrappers, and people wanting to "fix" their photographs. Photoshop Elements 10 is the latest version out as of Jan. 2012. Handouts are given at each class. Each time frame is an estimate because it varies on how many questions students ask, and also on student's computer abilities.

SESSION #3 . . .

PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS BASIC PHOTO EDITING

  This class is all about using the Text and the different Selection Tools. In this class you will get to learn a couple of the neatest features about Text and Photoshop elements!! It will spoil you to this program!! Once finished with text, we will adventure into the selection tools. There are multiple selection tools to choose from and some jobs work better with some tools, and then sometimes it comes down to personal preferences. This class generally lasts about 2 hours.

HELLO TO ALL MY RETREAT FRIENDS!!
 
  
1)  NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY is this weekend and we are having an "IN AND OUT" crop here at the store.  Come crop with us on Friday 10am-10pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm . . . . and come and go as you please.  Cost for the 25 hours is only $15.00 and we will have drinks and assorted snacks available during the entire weekend!!    I know everyone has a busy schedule, particularly this time of year. So take advantage of the opportunity to only pack your supplies once and still be able to go to a ballgame, each lunch out, attend MTSU graduation etc.  and still come back to your projects!!!
 
2) SASSY IS GOING ON RETREAT!!    We have booked the lodge in Centerville once again for June 22-24th, Friday thru Sunday and we are taking reservations!
If you have never been to this facility it is absolutely beautiful!!  Beautiful log cabin with dining area, gathering area, wonderful kitchen, porches on all four sides and over 50 rocking chairs!!  We have seen squirrels, deer, and turkeys; and gotten pictures of some of the most beautiful butterflies.  A very inspirational place to scrapbook and a peaceful atmosphere if you just want to take a walk or just sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet sounds of the forest.
    
 Need to know . . . .     Facility is equipped with four "bunk rooms" with 8 girls per room. You will need to bring your own bedding. One bath in each bunk room.         
  Additional bathrooms are available upstairs.
                           
                                 Cropping room is located upstairs . . .
                               please pack your supplies accordingly :)  
              You will need to bring your own lights and extension cords.
 
        
 Cost for the weekend is $110.   Sassy will provide all meals with the exception of Friday night.
 
 A  $50 non-refundable deposit is required when you sign up with balance due BEFORE you get to the lodge.  As always there will be a special discount on your purchases beginning on Wednesday before the retreat.

 On January 7th we begin our year with the January page kit.  The cost is $20.12 and will be the ONLY PURCHASE you make for the year!!  
 ON THE FIRST SATURDAY IN FEBRUARY just bring your completed January pages to the store and you will receive the
 FEBRUARY KIT FOR FREE!!!

 

*** There will always be “in store” sales specials (on those FIRST SATURDAYS) for everyone participating in the “LOTM” promotion.
*** In December, everyone who has participated for a minimum of 6 months and are current with their pages will receive 40% off any album of their choice.
***Three times a month, we will offer a LOTM Technique Class. Class fee will be $6.50. You will receive technique instructions to complete your pages just as our staff designers!!

***FREE KITS are only available on the first Saturday of each month when you bring in your completed page. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. And now that it is January . . . you know that it also means WINTER RETREAT!!! Martin Luther King Weekend is just around the corner and we are booked and getting packed for a wonderful weekend of "nothing but scrapping"!!

 

Because of the unpredictable weather in January we will, once again, be staying in the Boro, this time at the Hampton Inn on Thompson Lane. We have used this facility in the past and have been very pleased. Unfortunately, it does not have as large a conference room so space is going to be limited. We have given our past "retreat girls" first opportunity to join us and right now we only have 8 spaces still available.

 

Weekend will begin at 3pm on Friday, January 13th and go thru 1pm on Monday, January 16th. Cost for the weekend will be $225.00 per person with 2 people per room and, we are sorry to say, dinners will not be included this year. There is a breakfast bar every morning and I will provide a light lunch, but unable to do dinners.

That location does put us right around the corner from the store so we are offering all "retreat girls" a 30 % discount on purchases made that weekend!!

Great package weekend, girls . . . and a great opportunity to spend some "scrappin' time" with your friends!! When you register, you must make an $85.00 non-refundable (unless we can sell your spot) deposit to guarantee you space.
